Panel Topic: Managing Reputation Risk

Reputation is built on trust. Trust powers your ability to conduct business. When crisis hits—no matter how large or small—there’s one objective: Restore trust! Data shows reputational risk is at an all-time high. There’s increased opportunity and motive to scrutinize people and organizations. An ability to share information quickly to vast amounts of people. Coupled with the ability to remain anonymous online. This creates an environment where people, companies and governments now can inflict significant pain and create chaos.

Karl James & Company Named Agency of Record by GS Global Resources

Karl James & Company has been named agency of record by GS Global Resources, the leading minds in industrial and mobile machine application engineering.

“OEMs profit from our hydraulic, electronic, mechanical and software applications,” GS Global Resources CEO John Thornton says. “Yet we needed a consistent message to communicate how we simplify the complex, streamline designs and optimize value chains as an extension of OEM engineering teams.”

GS Global Resources worked with Karl James & Company, a full-service marketing communications and PR firm, to unify a once-confusing patchwork of individually named business-to-business companies under a single brand.

“The single name of GS Global Resources makes interacting with us even easier for customers, vendors and employees,” Thornton says. “Our new name and brand message definitely differentiates us with mobile and industrial machine OEMs.”

Founded four decades ago, GS Global Resources now has a well-articulated, distinct value proposition to guide employees in their individual roles. The new brand position serves as a driving force for every action taken by the application engineering firm.

The agency of record designation sets the stage for Karl James & Company to take to market the newly branded GS Global Resources.

“Now that we’ve completed the re-branding and re-naming of GS Global Resources, we look forward taking the new brand to market through a variety of communications platforms,” Karl James & Company Principal Owner
 Karl Robe says.

“Many companies get tripped up by the technology of digital marketing and focus on defining trophy key words and blasting those out through different channels, which is unproductive and typically misses the mark,” Karl James & Company Chief Digital Strategist Cale Guin says. “The key is to finely tune the nuances of digital marketing to match what customers seek.”
